Subject:Reading data in PDF and passing to a database

Hi I want to be able to pick specific data fields up in a PDF and load into a database i.e Company name.
Is there any software that currently does this?
We have no control over the PDF files we will be reviewing (format) so can't put any tags or hidden information into the PDF.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
