We have been using a number of different products with unreliable results to create a Secure fast-web view documents. The primary problem is that once they are secured, the end user client Acrobat 6.0 cannot Search Within the document without getting an Adobe error "Because the document has been modified since it was last searched, the search results are no longer valid" -- the search results have nothing to do with search terms. All documents that are NOT encrypted, work fine. We have used several different tools. Any ideas? We need to hire someone with quick answers.

What type of search method are you using ?
Encrypted PDFs can be searched if you check that option when
applying the security settings.
"enabling copying of text, images and other content"
Here's a sample of a secured PDF online with search capabilities
