Subject:There was a RAISE without a handler' error message

I've been working on a 200+ page PDF with multiple links per page (created in Acrobat 7 and 8) and begun having a number of problems:

1) Program spontaneously shuts down, usually when I am trying to set a link.

2) Error message: "There was a RAISE without a handler. The application will exit now."

3) When selecting text, highlighting appears on text blocks not selected.

Can this document be saved? How? I'd hate to lose dozens of hours already invested in creating it? Thanks!

I recommend using your backups to go back about 2-3 versions before the problem was added.

If that isn't an option, try starting Acrobat without any plug-ins, by holding down SHIFT as you start it. Then, try doing a SAVE AS. If that doesn't work, turn off Fast Web View in Preferences and try again.

Thank you. I'll give it a try.
