Subject:Edit PDF properties

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to modify the properties fields of a pdf such as producer, creator and initial creation date. There are lots of pdf info changing software available but they only seem to allow you to change title, author, keywords etc. Just to clarify, when I right click on my pdf and select properties, from here I click on the "PDF" tab. On here I want to change the following:
Created
Modified
Application
PDF Producer
Thanks

These should not be modified. Some people want to set creator and producer to be their name or company name, but that is absolutely wrong; the meaning of these fields is defined to be the names of pieces of software.

If you are creating the PDFs from MS Office, complete the fields in the MS Office application and set the conversion settings to include the MS Office properties.

If you are creating from a PS file, then you can use PDF Mark commands to add some of this information.

With newer versions of Acrobat the data is in XML format and that can be very difficult to modify. So unless you really know what you are doing, do not even attempt this. You may make the PDF unusable.

You can use the PDF optimiser to batch strip out ALL the user data, then
batch add the fields that are modifiable in the Doc Properties (Title,
Author, Subject, Keywords)

Hi,

You can change all those fields with PDF Summary Maker - see: http://www.traction-software.co.uk/pdfsummary/index.html
