Subject:Is scripting possible in Acrobat 9 pro?

In a teaching environment, I am trying to find a way to help with grading. I have an Excel Solution, and 400 student submissions. I have not found an easy way to compare the excel files (equations are easy - formatting is not) so I am thinking of PDFing all the files and comparing them.

1) So is there a way to batch pdf files. This is desirable, but I can handle this in other ways.

2) Is there a way to script the Document Comparison from within Acrobat 9 Pro? This is the key element!

Any insight would be appreciated.

Yes, but sadly, no.

I don't think it will help.

Scripted comparison of Excel files, cell by cell, seems doable, if not easy, while the same job for PDF is barely conceivable.
