| Subject: | Can PDF corrupt in transit? |
Hello,
We use Fetch FTP on a MAC to download several images at a time from a customer's FTP Server. In the last 3 weeks or so they have found that, although the FTP Client gives no transport errors (and we’ve had that verified by Fetch FTP support team who have looked through the logs), some PDF images are coming down as corrupted. The guys in the studio doing the downloading have to use their considerable experience to check the PDF files with the naked eye. Some differences are more subtle than others and in some examples there may be only a handful of lines corrupted.
If they find a corrupted file they simple FTP again and eventually it will download ok – sometimes at the 4th attempt?
The nature of the corruption could be discolouring on white background E.G Lines of grey instead of white or something similar.
The intermittent nature of the issue is very puzzling, any thoughts anyone?
Regards
Nick
